Recently Room 5 have made creations for the A&P show. We entered the fruit and vegetable novelty and the decorated biscuit competition. For the fruit and vegetable novelty I made an adorable eggplant penguin. We got to make two biscuits for the decorated biscuit competition, one to eat and one to enter. I made an awesome biscuit for the decorated biscuit competition, I made a panda!!! It scored 3rd place.

bridge valley adventure camp

Last Friday  room 5 went to Bridge Valley Adventure Camp. We went with room 7,9 and 16.There were lots of teams and activity's. My favourite activity was the water slide. We had a possum hunt at night there were lots of  fake possums all around and we need to find them. Each possum was one point for your team. You can also earn points by being the first team in line.We had a camp concert, me Sylvie, Ruby R and Amba performed Roar. I was really proud of the way I performed. The Big Bad Wolf

The Big Bad Wolf is a very scary looking wolf. He has tall legs like tree trunks. His eyes are small, beady and mysterious. He has has a spiky neck like a porcupine. His tail is a pine cone on a branch. His tongue is pink, tough and floppy. He has ears that are tall, pointy and triangular.
 
The Big Bad  Wolf is as sly as a stoat, he tricks Little Red Riding Hood into thinking he is nice. He is a cunning master mind because he doesn't eat Little Red Riding Hood straight away.The Big Bad Wolf is vicious like a lion. He eats Little Red Riding Hood's Grandma.


The Big Bad Wolf is very cheeky. When he sees Little Red Riding Hood he smirks quietly. He always spies silently on little kids. The Big Bad Wolf  is very cautious, he sneaks slowly on little kids. When he has tricked kids and has trapped them he gobbles them up eagerly.

WAKING UP

My leg flops out of bed like a fish gasping for water.I wake up and blink twice so my eyes adjust to the light. I stumble over and glance at my alarm clock, seven thirty. My hand fumbles around trying to find the light switch. I found it, I turned on my light and reached out like a snake catching prey. I picked up my book. Just as I finished my first sentence, I heard mum tiptoe as quiet as a mouse across the hall. I switched my light off quick as quick."Floss, I know you're awake" said mum.I stayed still and breathed deeply pretending I was asleep..Mum climbed onto my bed and opened the curtains. Suddenly I was awake as if someone had tipped a bucket of cold water over me."Fine I'm awake" I admitted sleepily. I put my feet on the cold cold carpet. I walked out to start the long tiring day ahead.

Christchurch Earthquake Exhibition!!!

Yesterday room 5 went to the museum to look at a earthquake exhibition.

Something interesting I learnt was that people from all over the world come to Christchurch to help.

I would not have wanted to be in the Christchurch earthquake because after the earthquake there might not be anywhere to go while their house is  getting fixed.

One question I have is who would pay for everything to get fixed?

Pirate ships!!!!!!!!

Today room 5 went outside to do our maths.We are learning about measurement. Today Sally put us in groups and we had to draw a pirate ship with chalk. Sally gave each  group a piece of  paper and it said the pirate ship had to be 10 meters long and  4 meters wide.

Purple cake day.

 

 PURPLE CAKE DAY

 

 Last Friday was purple cake day. We all dressed up in purple clothes. The Kahikatea syndicate sold cakes, toys and lemonade. I helped sell the toys and cakes, it was a lot of fun selling things.All together the Kahikatea syndicate raised $279!!!!
